Two very special pendants for Christmas gifts for two very special ladies: Acacia and Desiree. Moldavite and herkimer diamonds on handwoven silver chains.
According to "The Book of Stones," by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian, moldavite is a stone of transformation, rapid spiritual evolution, chakra activation, cleansing, protection and increased incidence of synchronicities. These characteristices are amplified by pairing with herkimer diamonds.
I found this stone in a little rock and mineral shop in Old Quebec. It's been set in a fine silver bezel with hammered sterling silver 10g wire accents at the top, where a tiny faceted tube-set garnet sits perched. NFS. (This one's mine!)
A favorite pendant that I wear all the time. A grossular garnet cabochon set in a fine silver bezel, embraced by hammered 10g sterling wire, with a tube-set garnet perched on the side.
African Green Garnets help the wearer to manifest a vision of abundance. "Grossular garnet is a stone not just of prosperity, but of wealth in all of its positive aspects -- financial, creative, emotional, artistic, and even physical health, the foundation of true wealth." (The Book of Stones, Simmons and Ahsian). NFS.
A teardrop-shaped lapis lazuli stone is bezeled in fine silver, framed with hammered 12g sterling and accented with silver balls. A tube-set yellow sapphire perches on top.

Chelsea Creek Pendant This was a commissioned piece for a friend whose "Save Chelsea Creek" organization needed a gift for their departing director. Tiny, only about 1". Background represents the reeds and fishes, with a wavy coppery water overlay. Necklace is made with apatite and green jade and silver beads. Matching simple hoop earrings.
Organic Stone Cuff
Definitely one-of-a-kind. It's made with a stone my friend Viv brought back from Quebec. This was a fun piece to make, a definite stretch for my skills! I'm always on the lookout for organic stones like this, and in fact, visited the same shop in Quebec last year where I found some similar stones! Click on What's New to see the result!
