It's all about rings baby!
I'm obsessed with rings lately -- many of which I make adjustable, though you wouldn't know to look at them!
The two rings bottom center and right, were made by Nancy Plante! A gorgeous rutilated quartz and larimar. The two stone rings top and the larimar, left bottom, made by Maggie.
The black stone ring was sent to Idaho for Leslie, and the pink stone ring was commissioned as a gift to a former co-worker.
Loving the stone rings, and I still have lots more stones in soft pinks and greys in my studio! I'll definitely be making more of these!
Custom rings available for $150, plus shipping.
I love larimar! This one was commisioned for Avantika's birthday.
The wide low-dome shanks I've been using gives these rings a strong presence.
This summer, I had the honor of being asked by my son to design and execute an engagement ring for Desiree, my future daughter-in-law. She wanted a green chrysoberyl, and I found this lovely stone, which was tube set in Argentium, with a low-dome band. It's a functional style for a lady who works with horses.
Oh, and she said yes!
Another Desi piece, lucky girl! A trio of related, but dis-similar stones makes a real impact.
A pendant for Gena commissioned by her son, Dan LeFave. A firey faceted Mexican Opal sets off the blue of the larimar stone.
This bracelet was commissioned for my niece Amanda, for her recent birthday. Two larimar stones and a tiny blue-green faceted tourmaline, one of October's birthstones.
Another larimar piece. This one paired with green tourmaline and amethyst.
A blue opal has beem set with a faceted peridot. The back has been cut out in a teardrop design.
The stone is called "Super Seven:" clear quartz with amethyst, rutile, lepidocrosite, goethite, smoky quartz, and cacoxenite. It is set with an faceted amethyst.
This is a very interesting stone.
Because the Super Seven opens up all the senses and helps one to see auras it is considered an important stone for stimulating and developing all types of psychic abilities, including telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, channeling, telekenesis and others. Further, it is considered a powerful stone for healing the earth, mind body and spirit disease. The very nature of the stone means that it is not associated with any one chakra; instead it is fantastic at healing, balancing and energizing all seven chakras, (hence the name Super Seven).
Another clear quartz stone with minerals inside. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but when I find out I'll add the information here! Set with a large faceted garnet.
A rutilated quartz stone has been set in this highly textured and patinated wide band silver ring.
Here's another very interesting and rare stone called tripyrite. Note how the back has been cut out. Only the wearer knows!
A chunk of moldavite is framed with hammered silver. Accented with a faceted aquamarine and a tiny faceted peridot. Moldavite another very important stone. Moldavites are only found in Czechoslovakia and were created when a meteor struck the earth 20 million years ago.
